Story
Product Description
The rolling fields around Silverstone were bathed in sunshine for the 1971 British Grand Prix, but the mood was subdued following the death of Mexican star Pedro Rodríguez. Scotland’s Jackie Stewart qualified his new car on the front row but was beaten to pole. When the lights went out, he launched into an unassailable lead and won by nearly 24 seconds. Behind him, Ronnie Peterson and Emerson Fittipaldi battled for the podium, giving fans something to cheer. This hat commemorates Stewart’s flawless run and the weekend’s poignant tribute.
